吉祥航空于2006年9月25日开航运营，目前拥有73架空客A320系列与波音787飞机（2019年8月），形成双机队运输体系，平均机龄不到5年。吉祥航空以上海为主运营基地，南京为第二基地，现已开通160余条国内航线、港澳台地区航线以及欧洲、东南亚、东北亚国际航线，拥有九元航空、华瑞租赁、淘旅行、吉宁传媒、均瑶国旅等多家子公司，业务围绕航空产业持续布局。
